Sometimes a Pat on the back is worth two on the .

I have had my head turned this evening!  I am giddy with the compliment paid to me by eneventure.  Especially because it came from her. She is a fantastically creative person. So THANK YOU! I was tagged by her as a “Rockin’ Girl Blogger” I am supposed to pass on the torch to 5 others that  I think are Rockin’ Girl Bloggers….

I can not begin to tell you how difficult it was for me to do this though!  I hope no one who I mention below minds that I’m talking about them.  If you do,then I’m sorry!  All of the people below have one thing in common.  When I read their Xanga’s I see something that reminds me, of me, or of who I want to be.

travelerblue – This lovely woman surprises me on a regular basis.  Just when I think I have her pegged she pops up with an entry showing another facet of her personality. Witty and creative, and the person who pushed me over the edge and caused me to buy a Treadmill!

BoureeMusique – And this young lady falls under the category “apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”.  If you read her for very long you’ll figure out what I mean by that.  I think her bloginess is just going to keep getting more and more interesting as she begins new stages in her life.

Carpus06 – OMG this one I don’t think I have words to express how funny she is.  Sometimes in your face, blow coffee out of your nose funny.  And sometimes, she makes me want to weep just a little bit.

butshebites – you never know what you are going to get here.  Sometimes she’s frantically hoping from subject to subject with the grace and aplomb of a kid learning to pogo, and sometimes she is showing something beautiful she has created.  She’s had some rough times in her life and seems to have used every opportunity to grow stronger.  This is another person that I think we’re watching a journey as she creates her Xanga entries.  I can’t wait to see where we go next.

skanickadee – And this one! You know, I just like this woman!  She’s nice, and intelligent, and has adventures with her family.  I am frequently jealous when I read her blogs of her relationship with her family.  so I keep reading, because it gives me something to strive for. For her, I would break my no hugging rule.

Bits & Pieces

I’ve noticed an oddity in Xanga (not you Dan, just your xanga).  When someone posts about religion I see comments from people I’ve never seen comment on that site before.  Is there some sort of community out there monitoring Xanga?  Do they take turns making sure whenever religion is questioned someone stops by the site to leave a comment?

All day yesterday I was quite positive it was Monday.  I was very confused by the arrival of Wednesday this morning.

My husband is bulking at a trip to Greenfield Village so instead we will be seeing a movie this weekend.  There are three movies that I want to see that my husband does not, and we will be seeing one of them. Or maybe, one of them a day.  Harry Potter, Transformers or HairSpray.  It’ll all depend on timing. Allie – if you’re reading this, Uncle Corey said you were invited if you would like.  I know you want to see at least two of the three.  I’ll let you know which one it happens to be and when, and if you’re available we’ll swing by and get you.

On the website for the Simpsons movie you can make your own Simpsons avatar.
Has anyone tried the Google Image Labeler? (did I already post about this?) If you go to google and then search for an Image using the image link at the top, scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the link to take you to the Google Image Labeler.  The fun part of it is not the “game” it’s afterwards when you scroll down and see some of the works your anonymous partner has entered. One person typed in something nasty at me, into the words.  I never would have thought to do that.  Why are some people just nasty? Yeah, I know.  Rhetorical question.

I have been seriously slacking off on the exercise for the last two weeks.  My eating habits are firmly rooted in healthy and good, so I’m okay there.  But after two weeks of barely doing any activity I’m already seeing a huge (LOL _ PUN!) difference. Not cool at all. I didn’t gain any weight, well okay, 1 pound, but everything went squishy!

While you are walking down an aisle in a grocery store do you ever get the urge to put your arms up in the air and spin around?  I do.  I bet some of you do too.  Go ahead next time and do it.  I dare you.
I think I’ll be taking a stranger out to dinner on Monday, (Does that sound mysterious?  Do you wonder about me now?  I won’t explain until Tuesday.)and I’m trying to decide where to take them. I realized that none of the restaurants that I frequent now are privately owned.  They’re all parts of a chain.  How sad.

I have a large stressful thing happening at work this week and I’m trying not to think about it.  There is nothing I can do, it’s completely out of my hands.  So instead I must just wait.  If I think about it, I assure you my next post will be about my lack of sleep. Everytime someone else talks about it, I have to shun her so that she doesn’t get it stuck in my head.  As of course, it is right now!  DAMNIT!  Argh.  Maybe I’ll do a massive massive workout tonight, and then read until my brain is filled with so many things that there will be no possible room for any stressful thoughts.
On that note, I think I’ll go make a cup of tea.
