I went to Steve & Barrys this weekend and bought a Bitten T-shirt. Bitten is the line of clothing endorsed by Sarah Jessica Parker.
It’s a nice little t-shirt. It’s Purple.
S&B’s caters to Juniors & Smaller. Though their corporate description is Collegiate. I’m wondering if our college age kids may be suffering from mal-nutrition. My t-shirt is an Extra Large. Okay, so I’m not a junior, and I like my t-shirts to not be skin tight, but an extra large? I’m so annoyed that I am posting a full length picture of myself.
Not the best quality I admit (I’m referring to the picture, not me!), but I think that unless I truly have a warped perception of my body, even though I may not be svelte, I don’t think I’m extra large. I just took the picture this morning , and the shirt I’m wearing is the one I just bought. Not exactly falling off me in it’s largeness.
So exactly what are they saying to those “collegiate”girls who may shop there? You’re too big to wear Sarah Jessica Parker clothes? No wonder all of us walk around constantly worry about losing weight.
The famous line from her clothing is “Fashion is not a Luxury” maybe on the back of the shirt it should say “But it is only for the skinny”
Last minute Additions! I went to the website for Bitten and it says “The BITTEN collection was designed for women of all ages and sizes, with a full size range from XS-XXL in tops, 0-22 in bottoms, and 5-11 in shoes. ” Maybe I just like my clothes really big? Cause XXL would only be one size (ish) bigger than me.
