Fruit Stripe

Found this picture on my sisters flikr account.  I really must stop wearing stripe shirts to places where people are likely to take pictures!  I only own three horizontally striped shirts, but I swear every picture of me I’m wearing one.

Corey and I

This is my husband and I at my nieces birthday party.  Isn’t the porch nice?  My sister has a lovely view in her backyard.  All trees and flowers and such.

Not much work going today.  I worked very hard on Monday and Tuesday and I was very cranky, so I seem to have run out of steam.  I have also completely run out of professionalism.  I am entirely too relaxed on the phone with co-workers and they get my full blown sarcasm.  Have to be careful about that, especially with people who do not have Enlish as their native language.  Hmmm,  I hear paperwork coming in on the fax machine for me as I type.  Technology is grand.

Still having creativity issues these days.  Just feeling flat.  I’ll go back to reading other peoples creativity now!

  1. That is a great porch!  Now that you mention it, yes you do seem to have striped shirts on a lot.  Isn’t that funny how that happens? It seems like it has been a long week.  I thought it was Thursday today and I wrote two checks with Thursday’s date on them.  DUH!

  2. Your picture is pretty.  So what if you wear stripe shirts in all the pictures and look pretty:)

  3. That IS a nice porch!

  4. I love stripes.  My favorite shirt (which I think I’ll retire after the next time I wash it) is nine years old and dark blue with white and grey horizontal stripes.  Today I’m wearing vertical stripes (as I did, I believe, on Monday).  They’re awesome. And yes, I steal that porch and all the surrounding trees and internal furniture

  5. Stripes suit you.  A lovely room and view, yes.

  6. American humor and language is much different.  We have a loveable asian officer who gets several complaints because he hasn’t learned the the umph of American talk.  He has been here a long time and speaks very good english – but….will say things like – “I don’t care – you get teecket”….

  7. Oh – and I think the striped shirt looks fine on you – you can wear stripes…you just shouldn’t wear them places where they will have red checkered table cloths…

  8. Love the porch! Love the stripes!

  9. Once upon a time I was wearing a striped shirt very similar to that one, and was walking across campus. As a couple neared, the woman said, “Look, an escaped prisoner.” I thought that really funny.

  10. @dancedout – nice.@Ninasusan – @SavonDuJour – @anonymouswish – Thank you, thank you and thank you!  Nothing like a little ego boosting compliment to make for a nice wednesday.@Ninasusan – But I could sing and poor wine!
