Is it bad for women to have a soy rich diet?

  1. well, i like soy sauce!  i have no idea – i think it’s one of the many constantly debated health issues.

  2. I think it is. It’s a dirivative of estrogin right? Anyway, it IS bad for me because I have thyrid issues and anyone who does is supposed to stay away from soy.

  3. @strawberryfieldsgirl – see!  I didn’t know that. I have thyroid issues, and just went off my thyroid meds because of kidney issues.  hmm, now I have to research soy & thyroid.

  5. I was just discussing that issue with my sister in Hawaii five mins ago..ha Soy is great for your diet as is omega three fish oil capsules (kirkland brand clear bottle)

  6. @slinky – It’s nice to know that I’m on the cutting edge of popular conversation subjects.  

  7. Putting too much estrogen in your body that isn’t natural is bad.  I drink soy milk but have cut out the soy protein bars I loved so well.  Men should not eat a lot of soy, but that was not your question.

  9. I didn’t really know much about the subject so I was waiting to see what others wrote.  Would your health insurance pay for a visit to a dietitian?

  11.  Most soy products are high in toxins and metals such as aluminum, and phyto-estrogens, which interfere with the body’s hormonal balance, among other things….
