Four years ago today three people acknowledged my Birthday.

This year (so far) I would have to take off both shoes to count the number of people who have said Happy Birthday.  My family loves me, and oh what a wonderful thing the internet has become to allow me to make so many new friends and reconnect with old ones.  You really cannot understand the difference it has made in my life.

I started blogging because I felt so isolated from the rest of the world.  I spent entirely too much time inside of myself.  Now, I have trouble finding time to sit down and read a book.  Well, okay I could be reading right now, but I’m sleepy and watching Drew Carey on The PRICE is RIGHT!  Yes, I did take the day off work.  Got my testing done at the hospital this morning after getting lost in their new parking lot.  And now I’m happily waiting for FedEx to deliver my little present to myself.  A Hoover Floor Scrubber. It was either that or a tattoo under my wedding ring.

I woke up at 4 and could not get back to sleep.  So I may do my biannual nap today!  I’m really sleepy.  Maybe I’ll try napping in the recliner so I’ll hear FedEx.  Tonight is Dinner at The Melting Pot with my sister.  YAY!

  1. Your toe got chopped off?! ARE YOU OKAY?! Oh my goshness, I didn’t even know when your birthday was! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! =DBlogging helps you meet more people, some of which you could actually talk to and become great friends with! ^^ It’s fun! That always happens to me. If I wake up in the middle of the night, it takes years for me to fall back asleep. So I just end up reading or drawing or something.

  2. @Queen_of_You188 – LOL, no my toe did not get chopped off.

  3. Happy Birthday, Tracy!  I’m glad you enjoy being on here.  I do, too!Catch up on that sleep, and enjoy your Melting Pot dinner!  They have one in KC, but I haven’t been there.  I’ve heard it’s great!Kathi

  4. @tracy – oh…thank goodness…

  5. Happy Birthday and happy napping.

  6. Sounds like a really nice way to spend your birthday!  I hope your scrubber comes soon and you are able to get your nap interruption free.Have fun at dinner tonight with Erin!

  7. *drool at Melting Pot*  Happy Day!  I’m gonna go get lunch, hit the library, and either read or nap or watch a DVD or *gasp* clean myself.  Peace!

I’d say Happy Birthday but I’m afraid you’ll have to grow more toes!Oh what the heck, Happy Birthday Girl!!

  9. @Still_groovy – Thank you.  Go, just for the cheese fondue appetizer and desert!  mmmmmmmm

  10. @BoureeMusique – We ate so much fondue laced with Alcohol and then chocolate I was giggly and dizzy.  so good.

  11. @OldHippyChick – Thank you!  Luckily I was born with extra things to count on. (That’ll make people nervous.)

  12. Happy Birthday Tracy, sorry I’m a day late.  I don’t get on Xanga regularly any more. It isn’t the quantity of your friends (although looking at some people’s Facebook lists you might think it was) its the quality.  My son’s birthday is today and so far he has received two phonecalls and one card, there you go, I love him enough for a thousand people and I’m sure your family feel that way about you.

  13. Happy Belated Birthday

  14. @SavonDuJour – Gosh, I hope they do! 🙂 Thank you.@Kissedbyadog – And thank you!

  15. Happy Birthday Tracy, belatedly.  I hope you had a wonderful time.

Happy Birthday and how very cool that your life has changed so much that you are no longer living inside yourself.  Blogging has helped me with a lot of things too.
