Winner Winner Green Dinner

We’re  calling Asparagus Soup experiment a success.
Very nice flavor and texture.  My only substitutions were I used 2% milk, and I didn’t measure much.  I know I significantly more vegetable broth!
I used my immersion blender and I’m not sure it’s still speaking to me. Asparagus is not meant to be immersion blended!
Last test will be freezer & thaw.Recipe Photos

EDIT!!CuriousGeorgina did this with the Presidents speech and I noticed you could do it with anything with an RSS feed. So this is my blog in a cloud.

Wordle: Tracys Xanga

I find it very unnerving when I’m sitting at my desk working and I look up and see the very distinctive purple of my Xanga background on my co-workers laptop!

I’m glad I like my coworkers.

My husband is on call 24/7 and believe me people call.  He is currently talking to a guy in Los Angeles.  He talks to them frequently.  An interesting phenomenon is occurring this time though.  Apparently this particular call is annoying my dog.  She keeps walking up to his chair, staring at him, and then occasionally whining with confusion.  I think she doesn’t understand that he’s on a phone and she thinks he’s talking to himself.  He’s talking to someone in a glass manufacturing plant so he’s talking very LOUDLY!

I have however learned that the FTA cannot be on that controller.  And if they want to use OTG they must get a different one!  We’re a very exciting family.

For some reason in last week or so, every time I do something there is very likely a person right there to tell me why I did it wrong and how I should .do it differently.  This is starting to wear on my very last nerve, and I believe there will be repercussions soon.

Looking forward to fun evening on Thursday with my sister!  Charity Event, and away time…BONUS!

I think……

That this would be hysterically fun.  Someone should buy it for me!  I would sing while working out, and record it.

Sunday Soup

It occurred to me today that I really enjoy making soup.

This weekends experiment comes from the current issue of Vegetarian Times (thanks erin!)

Roasted Red Pepper and Carrot Soup.  I’m not a big fan of Carrot soup, but I love roasted red pepper so we’ll see.  My only adjustment to the recipe was a trade out of Sweet Basil for Bay leaf. Luckily I didn’t have any bay leaf.  I don’t really like Bay.  I think sweet Basil will be okay as a sub.

That is all.
Good bye. 🙂

Good luck to you all!

Because something is wrong with me.  I am snappy.  And not like oooh, what a snappy dresser she is!  More like, I’m going to snap your head back with my punch.  Don’t know why, but I do realize it so hopefully my coil will unwind soon.

This has got to be some of the ugliest frozen food I have ever seen.

Yes, it really is that color.

However, it tasts just fine!

I’ve been cleaning my computer all morning instead of working.  I had so many icons on my desktop that I only had room to save three more before it went to -> Next Page.

I have a new filing system on my work laptop.  I created Folders for NotePad, Word, Excel, PDF and PPT and throw all of my “I can’t decide to delete this” files in them.  I always remember what type of file I save something as even if I don’t remember where or what I called it.

Today is my daughters 22nd birthday.  I must admit I get a little maudlin when I think of my kids as babies.  I just can’t believe I will never be able to get that back.  I have a hard time picturing my six foot 23 year old coming at me with his arms reaching to be picked up and hugged.  Or my beautiful little girl of 22 flying at me with all her energy and grabbing me around the legs to say hello. Oh wouldn’t it be wonderful to experience that overwhelming rush of love again?

(my asian soba noodles in sesame sauce are making my nose run!)

Started reading Her Fearful Symmetry last weekend and haven’t been able to pick it up since Sunday. 😦  I am very carefully reading it a chapter at a time to slow myself down. It’s the thing with books, you can only discover them once.

Ooops!  Lunch time over!  Back to work.

HAHAH – Silly me, my only edit was to add a tile. 🙂

Tis True!

When I woke up this morning I felt something cold and hard in the middle of my bed.  It was my cell phone.  Apparently I had gone to bed with my cell phone in the pocket of my uber soft and cozy fleece mens jammy bottoms.  It occurs to me that hilarity could have ensued had the phone rang in the middle of the night, since I keep it on vibrate.
