Just sayin’

In my never-ending quest of the last year to be the healthiest, strongest 122 year old that has ever been I have hit a new low

after being stuck in the proverbial plateau for the last 90 days I finally dropped down!  Woohoo!  That was a long 90 days.

Off to my new Saturday morning yoga class now. 🙂

My favorite part of this is that it’s a repeating message and it translates slightly different everytime.  And on line 5 it starts to sound like it’s got a little attitude!

Guess What Today is…..

Don’t forget to take care of your squishy parts!

For Katy:

hmmm,  apparently videos no longer upload.  Hopefully this is temporary.

Something appears to be wrong with the Title Box too!

Here are my pictures from this afternoon.

Another violent but very fast moving storm just moved in.

Lunch remnants!

Goofy looking me and my new glasses.  They are almost invisible!  YAY!!

Unexpectedly complicated start to the day – Now with Reviews at the bottom!

This months Vegetarian Times is particularly good!

I would like to make both of these today.  But…I’m wondering if I could replace the Apple juice with vegetable broth.

Ooooo…New Weblog Editor!  Pretty.

Creamy Cauliflower Soup – was just odd.  Had the texture and look of Porridge, and smelled odd.  The taste wasn’t horrible after i spiced it up, but won’t be making that again.

Cauliflower Gratin – Nice plain side dish.  Tasty, but not exceptional.  Too much work for the amount of food and taste though.  This will happily get eaten by my husband, but I won’t be making this again either.

How Generic!

Food Experiment – EggPlant II

Tried potato flake crusted eggplant in the oven last night.
Sliced an eggplant into 1/2 ish slices, dropped in milk, then in a mixture of instant mashed potatoes with some Parmesan cheese.  Put on a baking sheet that I had sprayed with Olive Oil.  Threw some random spices and such on the top, cooked at 350 for ..I dunno, like 20 minutes.  Turned over cooked another 10.
Poured a half cup of Ragu Mushroom over the top.
Ate the WHOLE DAMN THING!  So good!

Hot today and things are feeling a little crazy around here.  Hopefully nothing and no one explodes.

My son found me red peppers at the farmers market for $0.50 each..WooHoo! Soup making.

It’s Thursday!

What a blah day…Just wanted to nap all day!  But didn’t. 🙂

I’m so used to have just me in my yoga class, last night there were three other people!  It felt almost crowded. Good workout though.

Boring Blog…let’s go find a picture to put on.  I will go sneak into my husbands scanned pics.  BRB.

This is my beautiful Katy about 19 years ago.

And this is Me, Corey & Sean about 23 years ago.  Oh, and two black cats.

Geesh we were so young, I probably just turned 22 in this picture, which makes Corey 26.

Wednesday, July 14th.

My day so far in pictures..

Got into the office and found this.

I won’t explain, I’ll just leave it to your imagination.

Then tried some new tea.  A free sample I got from of Rooibos Green Tea.  Pretty tasty.

Then at about 12:05 pm I started feeling weird hot spots on my skin, then it started to itch, but 12:15 I looked like this:

Unbelievable!  By far the most spectacular  rash (non childhood disease related) I’ve ever had.  Popped an anti-histamine and came home in case it got worse before it got better.

Mostly gone now but my skin feels weird.  Hope it doesn’t come back when the antihistamine wears off.  I have my annual nephrologist appointment tomorrow. (which explains the nasty bruise from the blood draw that I just noticed made it into the picture) I don’t think they’ll let me in with  that rash.

I dunno.  The weirdness of my middle aged body is both amusing and appalling these days.  I do know, I won’t be buying that tea, just in case.
