why is it so easy to hurt your wrist?  It’s such an integral part of your life you would think it would be more difficult.

Either my husband or myself is slowly going insane.  I’m not sure which yet.

I loved Scott Pilgrim VS the World!

We ran into these girls at Trader Joes this weekend.  At first I thought perhaps they were in a play or a musical and stopped in on the way to dress rehearsal.  Maybe Annie, or Les Miserables.

(I saw this with an abscessed tooth..Uhg..there is a memory for you.)

After surreptitiously staring at the for awhile, and then smelling them I realized that no, this ways something else.  I do not know what.  Really, you must enlarge and look at the details of their ensembles to appreciate the oddness.  The one girls spent a large amount of time scratching her head.

Oh look!  It’s my sisters boob!

I hope someone somewhere has taken a picture of me and posted it on their blog.  Perhaps the peopleofwalmart.

Sometimes I start creating intricate scenarios in my head.  Sometimes they go for a few minutes and then slip away.  Sometimes they go for months.  Right now I’m working on what the world will be like after Facebook takes over the world.  No more email, no more texting (there’s an app for that) no more newspaper, no more craigslist.  I’ve been working on this one for a couple of days, but I think it’s fizzling out without becoming concrete enough to type out.  Did you ever see Demolition Man?  The whole restaurant wars?  Yeah…like that.

I have run out of steam.

  1. You crack me up and so do those pics! I’m still thinking about the scenerio you suggested about the girl who levitated once, but it never happend again. I seriously want to read that book after you write it!!

  2. The only thing I can figure is they got dressed in the dark… ??

  3. This is what my friend used to say about another friend ” she looks like she dresses out of the rag bag” I think these girls looked hard to find a rag bag! LOL

  4. If you went to any UK city, to London especially, you wouldn’t find anything extraordinary about the girls. Its not that people there are badly dressed, its that for those for whom style rules, rather than the water-down fashion of department stores and provincial clothes shops most of us shop in, its perfectly acceptable. UK street and club fashion is very cutting edge and what gets modified for the cat walks and trickles down via women’s magazines to the High street or mall often starts there.Personally I think the girl in the boots and little summer dress and the one with the striped socks look rather nice.  Not sure about the one with the ripped top, I’m not a fan of ripped clothes, not even jeans.

  5. @SavonDuJour – I’m not sure that the people in the UK cities would be covered in quite so much dirt.  It’s not the clothes per se, it’s the fact that they were filthy and ripped.  I am all for the unique fashion!  I love it, and really enjoy the more avant garde looks, not on me of course, but as an art form.  I do not enjoy filth, and I don’t think that this was a fashion statement, it was something much odder.

  6. @tracy – I think you would be horrified by cleanliness or lack of it of the British. From what I gather most Americans have a shower at least once a day. This isn’t true of the British. However, everything is relative and West Indians who shower at least twice a day, and if they are going out in the evening, three times, are horrified by anyone who bathes even less!

  7. Punk-Amish.  The small print gave it away.  If they were stinky, that’s gross.  You can look like as weird as you want, but try not to stink, especially in the summer.

  8. I want to take the boy to see that movie.  did you love it?

  9. @Kissedbyadog – I did love it!  As did my husband and everyone else in theater.  A lot of spontaneous laughter.

  10. Anything you answer may be terrific this is the thing I sense online mmo games no download | multiplayer games online no download | car insurance quotes
