Good Morning

My beagle did not want to get out of bed this morning.   It’s cold and a good day for sleeping.

  1. OMG, that picture is absolutely priceless!  I’d want to cuddle with him (her) all day long!  Hey, Tracy, you are just the person to ask.  Son S wants to get a dog in the spring, and I know he would like to get a beagle.  He is a single guy, although he has a roommate, the guy would not be responsible for the dog, of course.  S will be very responsible and get the dog out for walks when he gets home, etc., but someone told him beagles bark and bray all day if you’re not home, and would not be good “home alone” during the day.  He will get the dog trained, btw.  But what do you think in his situation – any truth to that?  I love beagles, too!Kathi

  2. Awwww!  Your beagle has the right idea!!!  What a cutie pie!

  3. Staying in bed for a bit couldn’t hurt.  What a cutie!  ♥

  4. @Still_groovy – In my opinion and from my research and experience, beagles are all nuts.  If left alone all day our beagle would just sleep.  Ours had a rough puppyhood so she’s a little different, but when she gets barking because she’s mad or wants something it is ear splitting.  I kind of doubt if it would be any different with a beagle versus any other dog.  It will just depend on their personality.  Maybe he should get two beagles so he doesn’t have to worry about them ever being alone!  They have so much personality it would be like having four.  They are lazy and obsessed with food and smells and prone to being fat.  They are also loving and sweet and have fabulously expressive eyes that make you want to feed them things.

  5. That is so cool… a lazy dog. 🙂

  6. So adorable! I love beagle eyes and expressions! Hope she enjoys her day in bed! Let’s join her! Ha!

  7. @wematter – LOL, hard to find one of those, right?@adamswomanlost – Agreed!

  8. I still can’t sleep in! I wish I was a beagle!

  9. awww! didn’t you just want to climb back in there with him! Too cute. My daughter adopted a beagle who just cracks me up. She’s so different from my horse of a dog, the way she sits up on her butt with her front feet in the air so she can see what’s going on, she runs around like a cat bouncing off things…she also has some bad habits like chewing on things…chewed a hole right thru the end of their couch! They are adorable tho!!

  10. @strawberryfieldsgirl – Our beagle sits up so much!  It’s so funny.  We don’t have a couch!  We’ve had two sets of furniture eaten by our dogs so we gave up.  We have two recliners, and that’s all we need because we don’t let anyone visit. 🙂

  11. that is absolutely cute!  beagle has the right idea.
