I had a dream

that I was painting.  And when I woke up I suddenly thought, I bet you could “paint” on heavy bond paper with mineral makeup eye shadow.  I think I’ll draw an eye after I’m done typing this and put eye shadow on it.

For those of you who wear make-up, have you ever tried the mineral eye shadows?  It’s a ridiculously fine powder so it goes on very smoothly. I bought some that was Elf brand at big lots once.  It was beige and steel gray. I just wanted to see what it was like. I love the way it goes on but the colors are wrong for me.  They are very shiny.

I gained six pounds in six weeks.  This makes me a little sad. 😦 My clothes were not fitting quite as loosely so I knew it was time to get serious again. For me it’s pretty straightforward. Exercise an average of 50 minutes a day, and at the end of the day my net calories need to be less than 1200 and I will lose weight.  The calories can go up to 1500-1700 calories a day and I will maintain around the same weight.  If I don’t exercise at least 30 minutes a day, I will gain.  Period.  No ifs, and or buts.  Exercise = Weight Loss.  More Exercise = More Weight Loss.

This means that I get that adrenaline rush when I start losing again.  So that’s good!

The big dog is in the backyard dancing, at least that’s what it looks like.  I think it’s far more likely that she has once again been stung by a bee.  Every year we go through this.  She apparently has long term memory issues and it takes the first week or two of bee season until she relearns that you can’t eat bees and they will sting you.  After a few stings she gets really jumpy when ever she thinks there might be a bee around.  So if you make a buzz sound she jumps up and runs around in circles.  She’s really not the brightest dog we’ve ever had but she is adorably affectionate and playful.

I think I will take a shower instead of draw an eye.  I also think I will try to make mushroom soup this afternoon. I had some yesterday at the Vegetarian restaurant we went to for lunch in Detroit and it was very good. I don’t know why I never thought to try making mushroom soup.
