Okay, not really. I won’t tell the story of the whole day yet.
Just letting you know I am here.
My daughter is having out-patient surgery.
They are cutting the big tendon that runs on the inside of her ankle down to the bottom of her foot.
They are cutting off the malformed bone on the side of her foot under that tendon.
They are attaching the tendon to the bottom of her foot with a screw. That’s the really touchy part as it heals.
They are putting a brace inside her foot on the other side to permanently straighten her foot as her heel heals.
I am of course taking pictures. 🙂 She has a good looking OR nurse. I think I got him in the picture. For your sake, I hope so.
Her boyfriend was here this morning, and her dad is here with me now. The surgery should take about 90 minutes, then recovery for 90. Then I’ll take her home. I think I will stop and grab her brother on the way so he can help me get her into the house. Then he and I will drug her, then run out to dogggie day care to pick up her dog.
A unique day.
There is a Starbucks in the waiting room of the hospital. I am in no hurry.
