Y’all come back now…

I think this will be a good day to take more pictures.

Last week I had the pelvic ultra-sound.  It wasn’t the funnest thing I’ve ever done, but also certainly not the worst.  You get through that first part thinking your safe and then they say okay now go ahead and take off your clothes. 😦 I don’t know the results yet.

I’ve always known I had a tipped uterus, and one doctor told me I had a floating cervix.  The radiology intern was pretty excited because she had never seen a uterus like mine.  Instead of going up and pointing a little toward the front my uterus points completely to the back, almost laying down apparently. This brought up an interesting conversation at lunch with my daughter and Brad. She said one of the oddest things she has ever heard was from our old doctor last year who said, “Oh, you have your mom’s cervix”. 🙂 They also had trouble finding my ovaries.  I may not be tiny, but come on, there just isn’t that much open space in there.

I really am frustrated with always having something “wrong” with me. It’s like every six months for the last three years something new and wacky is discovered about the way my body is made. I know I’m really lucky because they’ve all been non-life threatening things. They just cause discomfort.  Like my current state of uterine discomfort. It’s like having menstrual cramps for week.  For no reason! I’m just chomping on tylenol and ibuprofen.  Oddly, I always took ibuprofen for cramps back in they day because tylenol didn’t help.  But now, tylenol seems to work much better than ibuprofen. This makes my Miss. Marple kick in and using my deductive powers makes me think it must be a different cause. Personally, I think I have extra stuff in my uterus (either extra lining, or a fibroid or something) and it’s putting pressure on everything else in that area. So, it’s crampy but different.

I think this will stay private for awhile.

And bleeding again.
