I’ve never been a big celebration person and then I married someone who really hates any type of celebration so big celebrations for birthdays fell by the wayside. Some years we barely acknowledge them.
This year is different. I will celebrate the fact that I am here.

First time here. I too have not been big on celebrations of birthdays but your short little note has inspired me. I will be 75 in October and have, or should I say I am surviving two cancers. I am over 5 years out on the first one. (colon and prostate). I’ve decided I will make a big deal out of my birthday because, like you said, I am glad I am here! Thanks

Oh no!! I missed your birthday. I am so sorry! Guess what? The 4th was my moms birthday. I almost forgot to call her. She wasn’t really happy with me that I didn’t call until 10:00 that night! I’m sure she stewed all day waiting for that call and when it got to be that late had given up. Anyway, I hope you had a great day!
