I am a little nervous about going back to work tomorrow. It’s strange how just sitting up can be so exhausting. I have Dr’s appointments Wednesday morning, Wednesday afternoon and a dentist appointment Thursday afternoon. I want to make sure my teeth are extra strong before I start any treatment. I am prone to infections and we don’t want that to happen.

My work laptop is over my allowed weight limit so I will take it into work and leave it and use my netbook at home. I have a trip in a couple of weeks so I will take my netbook for that as well.

I think if I am can make it through this week by next week I’ll be back to my almost full strength. I think.

I have never been this needy in my life.

I watched a documentary on parallel universes and string theory last night. It was amazing and intimidating at the same time. My brain started melting at about minute 45.

To balance this out I had a dream that included a cuddly penguin. I have no idea why. I did not see a penguin recently, I have not thought about a penguin, and I have trouble believing that penguins are cuddly in real life. But this one was.

  1. Wow, that seems so fast.  Good luck!  I will be thinking about you.Sounds like an interesting documentary.  I’m not sure I could wrap my mind around all of that.  I give you lots of credit for lasting 45 minutes.I just read a news story about a penguin.  He swam the wrong way and ended up in New Zealand.  He has recently been relocated to his natural habitat.  I don’t think he was very cuddly but he developed quite a few fans.I read that your birthday dinner was yummy but you were too full for cake.  Yikes!  Did you ever get any cake?

  2. @skanickadee – I didn’t get cake! I did however just eat leftover mushroom risotto for breakfast. So good!

  3. Okay…try to squeeze this in…parallel universes…only in that other universe where we all connect…the penguin jokes of our weekend…initially last year, pelicans which were called penguins by my friend, Kris..jokes which resurfaced this weekend…and viewing of pictures my brother in law took on one of his oversees excursions which included a far off pictures of penguins..freeky…but possible?Change the one day at a time anthem to one step at a time…I’ve heard about that dental precaution before…The whole chemo thing…I’m positive about the outcome…wish I could saw awe inspring words to encourage you on the process!  I just know that chemo is laced with horrible descriptions..and I’ve heard of treatments with those affects and those that sailed thru easily with only some minor irritations.  I’m so sending positive thoughts and cuddly peguins to you!!!!!!!!

  4. Perhaps it would be a good idea if I re-read my posts…good the initial paragraph, I was suggesting that in our connection..maybe you received vibes about penguins from our weekend discussions 600 miles away but only a few seconds away in our parallel universe.and…wish I could share not saw – I think I got ahead of myself with saw = share awe…

  5. @Ninasusan – OMG – Nina – the way your mind works is mind-boggling!  I love it!

  6. My older son will be sorry he missed that documentary… he is just a font of knowledge an stuff like that! LOL what station? Maybe he can watch it online…As for all the rest, just take it a day at a time and don’t push too hard… do your best, but don’t overdo it! taking care of you is the most important thing right now…

  7. Tracy, be ready to not be full strength in one week.  Okay?  Really, it’s alright to heal slowly. : )What documentary was that?  I’d like to watch it, too.  Maybe we could compare notes.Good luck this week.j.

  8. I’m with #ofunlo on that one; take your time, and don’t be hard on yourself if you’re NOT healed. Thinking about parallel universes makes my brain melt.

  9. Ok, I’m a dream person. I can ususally find some fun things in dreams. the penguin is your hubby in a tux and you are cuddling up to him for love and support. He’s all dressed up because he is so proud of you. I’m also a little nutty too! LOL

  10. Wow, that DOES seem fast, that you are going back to work so soon!  Be careful – the medical appointments along with work will be tiring!  I just read that you did not get cake, but I have just left you a whole white cake on your birthday post!  LOLKathi

  11. well, penguins and parallel universes kinda go together… don’t they?

  12. Are you going right back into full days?  I remember how such little things could tire me out.  I didn’t handle it well at all!  Wishing you the best!

  13. @GrannyHappyNanny – Yes & No. Because of my job structure I have a lot of freedom, and with all of the upcoming dr’s appointments so it’ll be full time, as much as possible with a lot of working from home when it’s too much. 🙂

  14. Wow that was soon…  Take care!
