Just some stuff

Good Morning!

It’s been an odd last few days for me. Still not feeling 100%, more like 60%. Everyday a little better but my biggest downfall right now is impatience. I understand quite well now all of my fellow radiation treatment veterans issues with fatigue. I have trouble staying up past 20:30 most nights and really by noon I want a nap. Eating is also at about 60%. A lot of the time I can eat whatever I want as long as I don’t eat too much, but the other 40% of the time it makes me sick. Hopefully today is in the good part of the equation!

I had a gazillion things to do this week and got done 2. I went back to my oncologist this week. I guess instead of the three month plan I will be on the two month rotation with him. I was pronounced fit & healthy and given an order for a PET scan in January with a follow up appointment on the January 30th. I intend to be a little crazy between the scan & the results.

Hopefully tomorrow I will go visit a gym that I would like to join with my husband and make an appointment for my car. I think that is the extent of my list. I have some work to do but I can do that curled up in bed so it’s more of a motivation issue than an energy issue!

Just in case you’ve missed seeing pictures of all of my food. šŸ™‚

These are ridiculously expensive vegan marshmallows I ordered. They were shipped to me in a padded envelope that became squished and ripped. They are now ONE BIG MARSHMALLOW! Why would you ship them that way! I was so disappointed. šŸ˜¦

Dinner at Sakura Steak House with my lovely family. My husband and I split a Veggie & Tofu dinner so it was the perfect size since their dinners are large and I eat a tiny bit and he eats a lot. šŸ™‚ Though, I certainly ate my full share!

My family (except for one missing, and the two sitting next to me!) We were all here for my nieces 12th Birthday. That’s Hayley on the far right of the table. Next to her sister Allie, and then their Mom (my sister) Erin. Next to Erin is her fella Doug, and next to Doug is my step-father Beryl. That’s it! My whole extended family.

All right, off I go to mash some sweet potatoes and do some blending and cooking and throwing into Crockpot!

  1. It’s nice that you and your husband want to join a gym together and that he puts blankets on you when you’re cold and tucks you in.  You two seem to have a very good relationship.

  2. @TheCrimesOfDougMoe – Thank you. It’s especially cute when we’re out in public and start arguing with each other. šŸ™‚ Two such stubbornly right people should not have conversations.

  3. An especially thankful Thanksgiving.Hi everyone at the table.  I haven’t met Beryl but feel I know him from his love and support.  Veg and tofu dinner…hmmm so does the tofu taste like say – pork beef or shrimp :)The marshmallows…I don’t even know how they are made…never given it a moments thought..will now…vegan..what is different?  No animal product?  That wasn’t me that answered my own question…it was the other me.

  4. @tracy – How long have you and him, been married?  I guess I haven’t been following your Xanga for that long.I get it that you are a mother and have raised children.

  5. @Ninasusan – Ha. Yes, most marshmallows are made with Gelatin, so like Jello and 90% of the yogurt on the shelves  a big vegetarian no-no. Tofu tastes like whatever it is cooked with. So you pick up all the sauce or spices flavors.

  6. @TheCrimesOfDougMoe –  We just had our 25th anniversary in April. We were in Florida for it and had my husbands brand new car smacked into by a BAD driver. I do have two kids, my son is 25 (oooo interesting coincidence with the anniversary, no?) and my daughter is 23.

  7. @tracy – It’s scary that there was a motor vehicle accident and I’m the lawyer in my firm who gets sent to arbitrate and try the trip and fall and motor vehicle accident cases.  I hope everybody was relatively all right after the accident and that you had enough insurance.  A lot of people out there driving around, have no insurance or have inadequate insurance and they often learn the hard way.  You need a no threshold, big policy with a big under-insured motorist endorsement and the largest possible PIP (personal injury protection) endorsement.  It means much higher insurance premuims and the big companies all try to sell everybody verbal threshold instead of no threshold.  I may have to start a trial next Wednesday with GEICO and I expect it to be a fiasco.  If my client had no threshold insurance before her 2 accidents we’d have settled both parts of the case by now.

  8. @TheCrimesOfDougMoe – Since we seem to get hit every time we buy a new car and I am planning on buying a new one in the next year I’ll keep you around for advice. Luckily both of us were well insured, coincidentally by the same company. Tooks us months to argue it out with the insurance company but it was all good in the end and only a few bumps & bruises on the whole lot of us.

  9. Air puffed marshmallows?? I want to try them now!

  10. So what ingredient did you forget to put in the sweet potatoes?  I love sweet potatoes and I’m hoping they love me.I hope the food went over well for you today!I hope you complain to the marshmallow company.  That really is a bad way to ship them.It looks like a fun place to have dinner.  Nice to go out with the family.I hope you are resting well and have a high energy, productive day.

  11. You should be able to get a good price on your gym membership right now…. what kinda gym is it??

  12. @roscoes_farm – I don’t think I should tell you. You may never speak to me again. There is a Fitness19 a mile from our house that I think we’ll try. Right now we just want the ellipticals.

  13. @skanickadee – Good Morning! I hope you are warm and toasty. šŸ˜¦  It was actually flour. There was supposed to be a topping of brown sugar, pecans, flour & butter. I can’t believe I forgot the flour. Neither Corey & I tried them. After smelling them cook all morning it just sounded horrible. They got eaten though so it must not have been too bad!

  14. @tracy – awwww… it’d take more than that… you gotta do what feels right at this point… I’m proud you’re back in the gym !!!!!
