and…it’s Wednesday

Went to yoga at the botanical gardens last night.  It was very nice! Hopefully I’ll go again in two weeks. Should have gone to normal Wednesday night yoga tonight but I wanted to get home to meet my new bird!

This is Harvey Erik.

He is a canary. He was at the PetStore but has a little cyst problem. Because of this he cannot be sold. The vet okayed him for adoption and my lovely daughter who knew I have always wanted a canary called me. So there he is! I have decided if he will go by Erik after the Phantom of the Opera or by Harvey after Harvey Dent.(two-faced)

I also found this present waiting for me!

I “think” it’s probably from my sister. 🙂  Thank you!

And now I may go to sleep!  I am very very tired this week.

  1. That’s a very nice present 🙂 He’s such a nice color.

  2. What a beautiful color.

  3. Hope you like the shirt it just said “buy me for Tracy” when I looked at it.

  4. Erik is so yellow, I love it 🙂

  5. I love your bird!!!!!!!

  6. Oh, you should know my niece. Has these Gouldian Finches that keep having babies.

  7. Harvey Erik is such a cute little guy. How is HE adjusting to the move? Does he sing a lot?Funny t-shirt.

  8. That’s a nice bird. I heard that some people post pics only of birds…so strange 😀

  9. @isitreal_no – @whyzat – @xdeelynnx –  I love yellow!  He’s got brown spots on the side of his face like badly applied blush. 🙂@hippo63 – I DO like it!@Jst4e – Thank you, I think I might just love him too. He chirps when I hum. It’s very cute.@Inciteful –  Years ago I had finches and I really loved them and then out of the blue I had baby finches!  I thought it was the most fantastic thing. Sadly one morning I woke up and they were all dead. We believe it was from burnt teflon which finches are very sensitive to. @skanickadee – Katy said he was in a teeny tiny cage for months, they call it a “hospital” cage so he’s really enjoying his extra room! He flies from one end to the other and lands on every perch. And he sings at the top of his little lungs whenever we leave him along for very long! It’s really wonderful.@wematter – Now who would do something like that?
