There is a shed at Costco that I want. No, I don’t just want it, I MUST have it!! It’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a shed. It’s not metal, it comes with the floor, it’s big and it’s $300.00 cheaper in Costco than online. Every time I have gone in there they have moved it. I think they are just trying to say HA HA to me! It’s not the money, I would buy it. It’s the size! It comes in two HUGE boxes that A – I could not move nor at this point even help to move and B – What would I do with them, tie them to the top of my Tuscon? I don’t think so! I would fly away like I had wings on the top of my car. I could rent a truck. But, these boxes are like 10 x 11 so it would have to be a BIG truck and then I would also have to rent people! So Aggravating! It’s a good thing my husband is not in town or I would drive him crazy with my aggravation. I hate it when I want something and can’t have it.

Eventually I will order a nice comparable shed on line from somewhere that will deliver it to my house. I will then enjoy putting it together or watching my husband put it together while swearing.

  1. I love Costco passionately. They do everything well. Maybe you could hire some movers to get the shed for you. In the meantime, have some chips and coffee.

  2. @Mom_with_a_Chainsaw – I was slow to jump on the Costco bandwagon. But I’ve learned to love them and the more I learn about how they run the company the more I like them.  TWO Men & A TRUCK! They’re such a pain in the ass to deal with but…

  3. Home Depot rents trucks but if you need people then you maybe you should hire movers. I must see this shed. I want a shed, too, but my shed will need a concrete floor so that it can support our tractor. I hope you can get your shed.

  4. @skanickadee – It’s not that there is anything special about this shed, other than the fact that it’s big but not as expensive and it has a floor.  I have have a cement slab patio that I will put it on so I’m good there, or I could level out an area of my yard. I saw some at Lowes that I like too and they deliver so way or the other!

  5. You must be a total city girl if you don’t have a single friend with a pickup truck.

  6. @dingus6 – It’s that I don’t have any friends, not that there are not Pickup trucks!

  7. The tent like sheds are too light. When strong winds blow, they tend to fly away. A tent like shed will only last a couple of years before the cloth canvass starts to get brittle and fall apart.

  8. @PPhilip – Yes, thank you. This was a nice resin one.

  9. I have never shopped in a costco and I have only been in a sams once with my sister…guess I am a deprived childI think it is so funny when men put things together they way they cuss and throw stuff

  10. I like Costco, too.  I have a Sam’s and Costco right next door to each other, very close to me (well, only separated by parallel lanes of I-35, lol)!  I got my treadmill there, and it’s a commercial level Nordic Track.  I couldn’t find that anywhere else.  Did you know you can get them to deliver it and set it up?  I’m pretty sure you can – I did with my treadmill.  I hope you can get it!Kathi

  11. Just sayin’ here Doug has trucks AND a trailer.

  12. @hippo63 – oh….how big is the trailer?  The boxes may be like 300 lbs each so I need three carriers that don’t have parts that break. We’ll talk when Corey is back. Thanks for the offer!

  13. What?!?  You have no friends who “will work for beer”?  This is where you remind your son about the HOURS of horrible labor you endured to bring him into the world, the years of personal and financial sacrifice you went through so he could have things he wanted and how you put up with his evil little friends terrorizing your home.  Guilt works wonders.

  14. construction…sweating…cussing…welcome to my life!!!
