I am just so weird. I have to tell you my story and you tell me if this sounds like something you would do or if I am just totally bizarre.

There is a group on Facebook called Toledo Trade. It’s a bartering group. One day someone posted for corks. Now, I may have never mentioned this but we do like an occasional bottle of wine in the Murray household. So I responded that I probably had a couple of hundred for her. Well, I needed to message her so I could tell here where I was so she could get them. I couldn’t message her because I didn’t know her, so I had to “friend” her. So I did, and she stopped by and picked them up and all is good.

EXCEPT! Now I have this person on my Facebook that I don’t really know. What’s the protocol? Do I de-friend her? Is that insulting? So I left her on, and then something ever worse happened! She started posting things that I want to respond to. Now, I can’t do that…I don’t know her, she’ll think I’m strange or some sort of stalker, right? Then she posted pictures of herself in costume! She was in the Opera La Boheme! You know how I feel about Opera! I wanted to say something…but I didn’t…This week she reposted a picture I shared on my wall. So that’s like an approval, now I know it’s okay to say something on hers.

Isn’t that weird? What kind of person worries about these kind of things?

Be really funny if she read this now wouldn’t it?

Long weekend away was very nice.

I signed up for a Zumba class at the Y starting Oct 25.

That is all. 🙂

  1. I would just go with it…one never knows what one finds on the other side of the computer monitor.

  2. Hmmm, that’s a tough one!Yay, Zumba!  I took that once with a former co-worker.  We laughed the whole time because we were both so uncoordinated and un-sexy.  It was amusing, but good exercise and fun.

  3. I would totally worry about those things. I bet she is wondering about the same things. But what I want to know is what did she want to do with all of those corks???

  4. hahaha facebook is like a whole other world of socialising and etiquette. I would have deleted her as soon as I dropped the corks off to be honest. But that’s just me, I don’t like having random people on my fb! 🙂

  5. As one over-thinker to another, yes you/we are normal.

  6. go ahead and comment, the worst that can happen is that she deletes you and then your problem is over! lol

  7.          Sounds like you both may have a lot in common. Go for it. You know make new friends and keep the old, some are silver and others are gold.

  8. Go for it!  That has happened to me as well, but it’s no stranger than making friends from blogs!

  9. How many people hoard corks? You’re bound to have a lot in common.

  10. If you think you are weird you should meet my friends or,even worse, ME! Zumba is REALLY fun but hard work ! Good luck with that !On FB you can limit what shows up on your timeline and  no one else can see that you have selected that option.

  11. I agree – go with it.  Social media has changed the way we meet others.  Zumba!  they have classes where I work all the time.  I’ll have to see what it’s all about sometime.

  12. I wouldn’t worry about it! You can if you like stop her updates/photos from automatically coming to you on FB. She wont even know! But you can visit her page to see her updates if you wish.

  13. I would so worry about those things, but it looks like you’re part of the in crowd.
