Yo…’s it hanging?

Life is just rushing by me these days. It seems I’m always busy but I’m not really doing much of anything. I think it’s seasonal. Getting out of work when it’s dark & cold just sucks the oompf right out of me.
Mary Beth – I am thinking about you today.
Nina – I bought a gazelle. Hard to balance my coffee & nexus on it in the mornings but I consider that a bonus. Balancing is also an excellent workout.
Work – pretty calm. Almost too calm….
Family – all wonderful. Slowly getting ready for my daughters very low key wedding. Son is doing quite well in his new role of President. (University chapter of the IEEE). Husband – working, talking about his next trip already getting cancelled.
Going to see Don Giovanni this weekend with my husband. It’s his first opera (Coreys not Giovanni’s) so we’ll see how he fares. We’re going to a matinee so I won’t feel the need to dress quite so fancily.
I think Saturday we will go find my husband a suit.
Learned a new Yoga post last night, Firefly. I have a big lump on my back which I believe (and hope) is a repetitive motion injury from my bike. I think it’s something called a back mouse. Isn’t that the stupidest name you’ve ever heard for anything, ever? So,I am taking a week off of my morning exercise. This is why I bought a Gazelle. It’s a very low impact machine that is basically the same movement as an elliptical but with no resistance and about a thousand dollars cheaper. I just got it last night so I’ll let you know. I think it’s probably a pretty good thigh and butt workout. And it seemed like it was really stretching the muscles that I have problems with shortening up from the biking. That would be great. Then I could alternate. According to my FitBit I took almost exactly the same amount of steps on the gazelle in 30 minutes as I do on my bike for 30 minutes. That surprised me.

I can now also tell you that dress shopping in a mall is 7000 steps. Uhg!
See ya later Gators.
Oh Wait!
A Valentines Day Haiku for you;
With Joy my heart sings
the chill frost begins to melt
yellow returns soon

  4. @isitreal_no – and to you young lady-

  5. interesting about the steps.  What I like on the pushing on the arms to and letting them do the work to strenghthen the backs and pulling back on it and working my biseps…I like it and try to do some every night while walking prime time.  If I get on during the day…that is gravy!  Good to hear from you~

  6. Thanks. It was a rough day. I’ll have to google gazelle. It is nice to see you posting.Good luck finding the clothes.

  7. wow, going to be an in-law, great ? right ?

  8. Hey that is wonderful steps!!! 🙂 What is a gazelle? I would google it but I will remember it if you tell me…

  9. @Jst4e – its an elliptical type motion but the foot pieces are on cables so they swing up and down. No harsh impact on your points.  @Ninasusan – I am really enjoying it! It’s like walking with a smooth dance beat, my calves are sore!

  10. Glad things are calm and peaceful for ya’ll! I bet you’re having fun planning that low key wedding. Those are m favorite kinds. Can’t wait to hear all about it..and maybe see the pics! Have a fabulous weekend!
