Pictures from last week

I uploaded everything and then posted added two pictures from each screen to this blog. πŸ™‚ Almost all of the pictures are from Grapevine Texas. One day the lovely Luis kindly took us out site-seeing.

Just random comments about pictures. Nothing too exciting.

Not Exactly the best picture of me, but I really like the statue.

I didn’t really know what I wasn’t supposed to take a picture of, so I took a picture of the sign.

The local funeral home in Grapevine had a display. It was odd, but interesting.

I really liked these statues too.

I loved all of these! I want my yard to be filled with things that move in the breeze. I grabbed a flyer from this place because they really were reasonbly priced, but I haven’t been able to find it.

Isn’t this nice? made out of spare parts of different things.

What a clever bench outside of a icey store!

I found this interesting.

I was able to have dinner with a little cutie one night!

My view at the office for a week. (Thanks for your desk Juan Carlos!) So many birds.

Luis & Brad. Luis was an excellent person to have around when visiting another office. It’s a funny perspective on this picture. Luis is actually very tall! I will have to go add a couple more pictures now just to show you Luis in perspective.

This was the first jail in Grapevine, Texas.

  1. Those statues kind of creep me out. The first place I ran into them was Rapid City, SD. When I see them out of the corner of my eye, I think they are a real person! Here, in Round Rock, TX, we have a park near what was once the Chisolm Trail (of cattle drive fame) and the city has put full size bronzes of longhorns and pioneers in it. There are always people there taking pics of the longhorns.

  2. @whyzat – the first time I ever ran into life size bronze statues was outside of Dallas, a bunch of longhorns!

  3. I love those statues, and the icy pole bench is probably the best bench ever! I want to go to Texas! You see so much of your own country, I love it! Always motivates me to get out and see where I live πŸ˜€

  4. Wonder how big the bathroom is in that jail…

  5. Cool pics. You sort of go well with that statue πŸ™‚ i like the giant popsicle stick bench. If that’s what it is. πŸ˜€

  6. Great pictures. Looks like fun πŸ™‚

  7. those were very enjoyable pics. it’s a good pic of you in the first one,  you just look a little like a pouty kid who is sick of waiting for someone to snap the picture lol those statues are cool.  I love the moving things in the yard as well, makes me think of Aunt Meg from the movie Twister. I love looking at pics of places I’ve never been and Texas is one place I probably never will be so thanks for sharing!

  8. fascinating pictures!!!!  I love how you pick little details out of places you visit!  I love that you take pictures and share them with everyone…it seems like the exact thing one should do if they are seriously living for the moment!

  9. I think you look beautiful! And I think I dated the statue before Mike!

  10. All that moving sculpture reminds me of the movie Twister where one of the characters kept similar sculpture in her yard to warn her when the winds picked up and twisters might be coming. I hope you enjoyed the sun and warmth in TX..

  11. @Jst4e – I bet he was a “solid” boyfriend! πŸ™‚ HAHAH

  12. @tracy – ha ha ha ha! Yup that’s one word for it!
