a small life lesson

Woke up 30 minutes late and the day has just gotten more laughable since then.

You know when the instructions say steep for four minutes and then take out the teabag? You really should do that. Not for taste, but for safety.

I’m sitting in a conference with my entire office plus one more and as I took a drink of tea my teabag unstuck from the inside wall of the cup and a wave of warm tea hit me in the face and down my shirt.

Mili says no bueno.

  1. My favorite all time wet blouse incident was with my wife. She was wearing all white while walking and decided to cut across the park grass. Suddenly, high powered sprinklers came on for testing and she was drenched. She reminded me to those wet T-shirt dances on TV at bars. She was very embarrassed and we ran home—fortunately just across the street.Sorry this happened to you.frank

  2. @HUMOR_ME_NOW – Thanks Frank, but it was quite okay! I am luckily able to laugh at myself, as well as other people. 🙂

    • This is a really inelgeiltnt way to answer the question.

  3. The biggest danger to me drinking tea is that it is too hot. Tea is either too hot or too cold, very rarely is it the right temperature. What type of tea do you use? Sometimes I use the stainless steel ball to make my tea and other times I have a glass tea soaker that has a tea leaf strainer built in.

  4. That totally sounds like something I would do. Unlike you, I am not great at seeing the humor in those things. I am trying as I get older but I use to get really embarrassed. Mili is a beautiful dog.

  5. @skanickadee – I use to as well. Luckily we’re such a small group and spend so much time in close quarters these guys don’t bother me at all. I will tell Mili you said so!

  6. @tracy – That is so nice that you have such a good work group.

  7. I did that last week with iced coffee. Of course, I was wearing a white shirt!Mili is adorable.

  8. I am always doing stuff like that I keep the market going on stain remover

  9. I bet you jumped.

  10. ha ha ha ha ha!!!! I am not at you! really?

  11. Oh dear, as I don’t often make tea (except at the moment while my illness has put me off coffee) I quite often leave teabags in the mug as an unwitting trap for the unsuspecting imbiber. Mind you, I have a friend who asks for the teabags to be left in the mug so that it gets stronger and stronger as he drinks. Each to their own, and at least he’s expecting the bag at the bottom.

  12. @holeinyoursoul – I always leave the teabag in! This way you can top up with a little hot water, or add another different flavor teabag in and make a whole new flavor.

  13. I donÂ’t really like reecnmondimg anything I have not used myself so all I can suggest is to google for – outsourcing writing services – or something similar, plus you can request writing services from forum members on many forums.
