I invite you all to join me on Google+. You can even create a new gmail account with your xanga name if you don’t want to use your existing gmail. I’ve had a blogger account for years which is now owned by Google. Might as well start using it.

  1. Haha – I just watched the video. I will have to check out Goggle +. I knew this day was coming but I still feel bummed.

  2. @skanickadee – I figure if nothing else the Google+ communities might be a good place for people to keep in touch while they transition to a new home.I do not believe Xanga will survive on a paid model. The benefit to Xanga was that anyone could blog and they will lose that.

  3. @skanickadee – the actual blog site for me would be blogger. I haven’t checked yet on privacy. The protected settings in Xanga were pretty unique I think in the realm of bloggings.

  4. @tracy – I agree with you about Xanga. I will look into G+.

  5. @tracy – Yes, Erik and I were talking about that. He also commented that was one factor that probably led to Xanga’s downfall.

  6. Google Plus had a policy at one time about it’s users using real names.  I don’t know if they still have this policy or not as I don’t use it.

  7. @MarkLupton – Bastards!
